Very good

Mark is an excellent host. Brought us wine glasses and tea towels within a short time of asking. Thanks Marc. Location is great with plenty of little bars and restaurants around. Don't forget to visit San Antoni market. We left it til the last day. Wish we spent more time there.

What would you highlight about Mercat Sant Antoni 4

We plan to return back next year.

The location is one of the best in Barcelona, especially if you are interested in visiting Fira de Barcelona, either Montjuïc venue, which is 13 minutes away walking, or Gran Via venue (in our case), which is only 20 minutes away by either L95 or H12 bus nearby, but also to visit usual tourist attractions in Barcelona in less than half an hour walking, such as La Rambla, Gothic Quarter, Casa Batlló, Casa Milà, Palau Güell, Parc de la Ciutadella, Parc Montjuïc, Barcelona Botanical Garden, Parc de l'Espanya Industrial, just to name a few of them, as well as sea shore, starting with Rambla de Mar (30 min walking), Barceloneta, beaches, which are all at walking distances of less than 45 min. Sagrada Família, Hospital de Sant Pau and Park Güell are easily reachable by public transportation, in order to reserve some energy and willingness for further walking. Of course, plenty of shops in Mercat de Sant Antoni (7 min walking), Arenas de Barcelona shopping mall (10 min walking) and El Corte Ingles department store (20 min walking) are a big plus. The number of restaurants, supermarkets and shops nearby the apartment is mind-boggling. It is enough to say that within literally 1 min walking distance are excellent Japanese, Persian, Armenian, Vietnamese and Nepalese restaurants, besides usual Catalan and Basque restaurants. The apartment has 2 full bathrooms and 3 bedrooms: 2 at the main street side, and 1 at the opposite side which is extremely quiet, but there was no problems sleeping in main street bedrooms, due to high floor and trees on both sides of the street. For the end, an icing on a cake: Pere was such a great host that he provided two options to us for checking out, since we had a late flight. We could put our luggage into his storage in case that new guests would come on our departure date, or keep the apartment until traveling to the airport in case of no new guests on our departure date, which was actually our case.

Good location, ideal for families or groups of friends

Great location and roomy apartment with 3 bedrooms. The lounge / dining area would be a little tight if there were 6 people in the apartment. Three bedrooms all with double beds and large roomy kitchen. Lift up to the 7th floor was a great bonus. Lovely sunny balcony in the morning - ideal for eating breakfast outside, but again too small for 6 people to sit outside.

There could have been slightly better comms - we arrived early and the owner could have said that he will be there at check in time instead of making out that he was on his way. There were no dishtowels, kitchen roll or kitchen cloth, making it really difficult to clean up after using the utensils. There was no information at all on Barcelona in the apartment. The street is quite busy, so you do get a fair amount of traffic noise. The bed we chose was broken :(.
